China Nuclear Titanium Dioxide is mainly engaged in the research and development, production and sales of rutile titanium dioxide. At present, the company has formed nearly 400,000 tons/year titanium dioxide production capacity, ranking second in the country and fifth in the world.
As a basic chemical raw material with rigid demand, the development of rutile titanium dioxide (sulfuric acid process) is mainly affected by the current situation of global macroeconomic development and the relationship between supply and demand. In the first half of 2023, the titanium dioxide market was affected by the global macroeconomic downturn, the decline in terminal demand, the gradual release of new production capacity and other factors, showing a "weak supply and demand, price stagnation" format, and the overall profitability of the industry declined. During the reporting period, the company's main product rutile titanium dioxide storage output exceeded 140,000 tons, down from the same period of the previous year, mainly due to the suspension of production of the company's subsidiaries.
